Linda, Start at the source of your gas supply and check every connection. Sometimes a leak in the line allows the flow of gas to become contaminated. Check from the source all the way throught the end of the torch. check your torch O-rings. If they are cracked or torn, you could be aspirating air at that connection. Once you have proven line to be sealed you can rule out gas impurities by placing a bottle of gas at the cell and running it.

As it gets warmer, fans get turned on. Perhaps you are blowing away the shielding gas. A great way to resolve this problem is by isolating the welding process by using a automated barrier door in lieu of light curtains essentially isolating the welding process from outside influences. Contain the process improve quality increase productivity and increase the level of safety.
