Be One of the First to Experience Lincoln Electric's VRTex™ 360 - Virtual Reality Welding Training System

Lincoln Electric, Automation Division

Lincoln Electric is brining a unique ‘try-it-before you can buy it’ experience to a number of upcoming training and trade show events.  With a 4th quarter 2009 product launch scheduled, the interest and excitement over the new virtual reality training system has driven Lincoln Electric to decide to highlight this new technology platform product for people to experience themselves.

Lincoln Electric brings a unique welding training experience where instructors and new welders can set up their welding machine, and practice their welding technique all in a virtual environment. .  Results can be tracked real time to allow the instructor to guide the student through the weld and review those results afterward to provide recommendations.

With a shortage in trained welders, and a need for quality education tools, the Lincoln Electric company believes the VRTex 360 will change the face of welding.  Appealing to younger students in an environment that they enjoy and by increasing interested in this skilled trade which is truly an art form.  It will also provide schools and training departments to become more economically and environmentally conscious reducing the amount of welding scrap, consumable usage, and energy savings from equipment operation.

Erin Justice, VRTEX™ 360’s product manager commented:  “This innovative and exciting product is changing the way we think about welding training.  The system delivers so many great benefits, but most important is the development of the technique needed to become a skilled welder and then quickly and efficiently translating those skills to the welding booth.  It is truly something you need to experience to see what an invaluable resource it will be to help achieve great training results in a short period of time, especially in a climate where we need so many new welders.”

Bring your instructors, students, administration and your excitement with you to see Lincoln Electric’s newest training product demonstration at the following event dates:
