Compass Automation Unveils New Robotic Gear Deburring System

Elgin, Illinois--(BUSINESS WIRE)--September 24, 2009—Compass Automation, Inc. a leading provider of customized turn-key automation systems and Industrial Robotic Solutions, today announced it has unveiled its new Robotic Deburring System at the 2009 Gear Expo in Indianapolis, which features a touch screen HMI that allows an operator to seamlessly upload the specs of a custom gear to the robot for automatic deburring or chamfering of the gear. The Deburring System will allow gear manufacturers to automatically deburr or chamfer their gears even though they are not mass producing the same sizes or types. The Robotic Deburring System is customized based on the customer’s specifications and can be integrated by Compass Automation into existing CNC Hobbing Machines to deliver a totally automated process.
