New Robot, New Opportunities

Stäubli Robotics

DUNCAN, SC – Stäubli Robotics has extended its product range with the introduction of the TX340 SH shelf robot.

This kinematics solution has been designed to plug any remaining gaps in customer specification for plastics processing in the automotive industry.

A quick look at the data sheet points up just how powerful the new machine is, with the loading capacity and range of the machine immediately catching the attention. The six-axis robot can handle a mighty 165 kilos without compromising on reach – a full 3.68 meters. And yet, the nimble six-axis robot maintains a very precise repeatability of ± 0.1mm over its entire working range.

The shelf robot has been designed to IP65 ingress protection standard for use in harsh industrial environments. Moreover, the TX340 SH also scores respectably on “internal” criteria – because of the systematic use of lightweight construction techniques, it meets the exacting standards of the automotive industry in terms of energy efficiency.

Stäubli will be showcasing the latest in robot and toolchanger technology at Fabtech 2013: North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event. Be sure to stop by Booth N2673 at Fabtech 2013 in Chicago, Illinois, November 18–21, 2013.
