PaR Systems Expands Defense Commitment
PaR Systems, Inc.
PaR Systems, Inc. reaffirms their commitment to the defense market with the recent announcement by CEO Mark Wrightsman of the establishment of a PaR Defense Division. This new division will be led by long-time Jered President Rick Edger, supported by COO Tom Donovan. Tom will also continue his current role as Jered COO. Ian Haley, a highly respected naval/marine industry executive whose most recent assignment was General Manager of Rolls Royce’s Syncrolift Business Unit, will take over as the President of Jered LLC.
PaR Systems has long played a role in the defense market providing robots for specialized applications. The company greatly expanded their defense business with the acquisition of Jered in 2005 and Unidynamics in 2006, both companies with more than 50 years of defense equipment experience. “We are taking the next step to insure our continued growth in this critical business,” states Wrightsman. “We will focus on organic growth, combining PaR’s robotic technology with Jered’s shipboard systems expertise, while considering synergistic acquisitions where our technology and proven processes can add value.” “This change will allow us to continue expanding our business beyond Jered’s traditional naval shipboard equipment to support other DOD, DHS and international defense customers,” Edger added.
