Stäubli Robotics Completes its Ultra Fast SCARA Series

Stäubli Robotics

The introduction of the new TS40 SCARA robot represents the latest robotic innovation featuring unrivalled speed of more than 100 picks per minute.  The ever increasing manufacturing demand for cleaner, faster and more precise automation solutions only reinforces the TS40 as an industry benchmark.

The TS40 boasts extremely fast cycle times while maintaining the Stäubli standard for high precision with repeatability of +/- 0,01 mm with a nominal payload of 2 kg and maximum 8 kg and a reach of 400 mm.  The robot has an IP54 protection class and is available in either a conventional floor mount or wall mount depending on the application requirements.  The TS40 is also available in two variations with 200 mm stroke and 400 mm stroke depending on the customer’s needs.

The new high-speed TS40 features a new innovative and extremely rigid, but slim design.  This new TS40 comes after the introduction of the TS60 and TS80 completing this brand new SCARA generation with reaches from 400 mm, 600 mm and 800 mm.  This robot series is ideally suited for applications featuring precision, payload and speed.

The TS20 distinguishes itself by its ultra-compact design, robust rigid construction and high performance, weighing in at only 15 kg and makes it the ideal solution for limited space and demanding applications.  The main applications of the mini-SCARA are micro-assembly, small parts handling, micro-dispensing and lab automation, as well as loading of indexing tables.

All Stäubli robots utilize the well-known CS8C control platform which is perfectly adapted to robotics.  The CS8C employs the Stäubli developed VAL3 language for easy programming and an open architecture to provide the end user with endless possibilities.  Vision systems with Serial or Ethernet interface to the controller may be connected as well.
