The First Annual SLAS Conference and Exhibition, combining “the best of the former LabAutomation and SBS conferences,” will take place February 4 - 8 at the San Diego Convention Center, offering the opportunity to see emerging laboratory technologies firsthand. As a pioneer in robotic solutions for the medical, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, Stäubli Robotics will have a strong presence.
At Booth 535, Stäubli will showcase the TX60 Stericlean, an ultra-precise, six-axis lab automation robot designed to optimize safety and productivity in cleanroom operations such as handling vaccine flasks, automation of cell culturing, seeding bottle gassing, cell scraping, drug discovery and plate handling. While delivering Stäubli’s trademark speed, precision and reliability, the TX60 Stericlean also addresses a variety of factors critical to protecting both personnel and products from contamination.
The entire Stericlean series, consisting of the TX40, TX60 and TX90, meets the stringent requirements of VHP (Vapor Hydrogen Peroxide) decontamination in isolator-barrier systems. Complex surface coatings and full encapsulation enable the robots to withstand hostile environments, even those involving corrosive H2O2. Their rigid structure delivers better dynamic performance, while specialized technology eliminates restrictive enclosures, problems related to glove ports and heavy mechanical arms, and other challenges typically associated with robotics in isolator systems.
These state-of-the-art machines can handle heavier payloads and are also more precise. Further, since they are generally more competitively priced, they offer an economical alternative for more and more applications.
With highly specialized robots such as the TX60 Stericlean, Stäubli reaffirms its position as a market leader in laboratory automation.
