Stäubli Robotics Unveils the New TXpaint 250, Pioneering Robotic Painting Solutions
Stäubli Robotics Posted 08/07/2012Stäubli robotics announces the introduction of a new innovative painting robot characterized by unrivalled process control with minimal paint consumption and fast color changes. The fast, slender TXpaint 250 robot also features a reach of 2.5 meters and is capable of high precision trajectories.
“The TXpaint 250 is the ideal multi-purpose painting robot which is able to handle a wide range of applications in the automotive industry as well as in general industry. Thanks to the
PaintiXen software package the robot is very simple to program allowing professionals as well as newcomers to appreciate the simplified programming of the robot. Furthermore, the TXpaint
250 enables users to paint faster and more efficiently even with small part batches”,says Manfred Hübschmann, General Manager of Stäubli Robotics Bayreuth, Germany. Due to its high performance, the TXpaint 250 will be the first choice for a variety of applications – from painting of automotive bumpers, electronic equipment, metal parts, plastics and wood products just to name a few. The performance of this brand-new six axis robot is very impressive with a 2550mm reach and an incredible speed of 1.5 meters/sec. The robots maximum payload capacity is 10kg.
The CS8C controller is also factory network compatible allowing the robot to be extremely dynamic and flexible while utilizing very low energy consumption. The new painting robot is also equipped with a hollow wrist which ensures the internal protection of the paint equipment within the forearm. This feature protects and eliminates the possibility of the product from being contaminated unlike other painting systems which mount all cabling and equipment on the exterior of the arm. The TXpaint 250 also allows for fast color and catalyst changes and can be either floor or ceiling mounted for greater work cell flexibility.
Groundbreaking programming options
This six axis painting robot is perfectly suited for all coating applications such as wet painting, electrostatic or powder coating. Thanks to the PaintiXen software, the robot can be easily programmed directly through the interface on the manual control teach pendant. The PaintiXen simple configuration allows for easy access to the fluid delivery equipment, path and trajectory creation, as well as simple cleaning. Advanced users will also be thrilled by the performance of this software package as it integrates perfectly within the Stäubli Robotics Suite (SRS) software workshop and enables the users to make incremental changes as required. The Stäubli-developers have successfully created a practical tool for each painting situation to help guide the robot programmer by simplifying program creation and process adjustments.
