VERNON Toolâ„¢ Offers New Cutting and Profiling Solutions for the Handrail and Fencing Market

Lincoln Electric, Automation Division

Oceanside, California – VERNON Tool™ Company, a Lincoln Electric subsidiary, is now offering pipe and tube cutting and profiling solutions for use in the handrail and fencing fabrication market. The economically priced VERNON Tool MasterTube™ Cutter (MTC) and MasterPipe™ Profiler (MPP) models are ideal for small to medium sized shops with a need to efficiently cut and profile tube or pipe for improving joining preparation.

The 5-axis MTC offers the capacity for 1 – 8 in. round (1 – 12 in. outside diameter) and rectangular (7.5 in. cross section) pipe and tube cutting with either plasma or oxyfuel cutting. With a servo driven rotating chuck, the MTC provides rotation and longitudinal motion and its two additional profiling axes allow for torch angle and linear motion. This system is ideal for high-production/high-volume handrail and fencing fabricators.

The 2-axis MPP is capable of handling cutting and profiling operations for pipe with an outside diameter of 1 – 12 in. and a length of up to 40 ft. This solution is recommended for both small shops and fabricators.

The system’s set-up, programming and cutting are consolidated into one easy operation for each of the two systems, providing increased productivity, enhancements and greater consistency in quality. In addition, the systems open new pipe and tube prep capabilities for large and small fabricators.

To support the MTC and MPP systems, VERNON Tool offers VE-Assist™, an online customer service tool which allows direct communication between the user and the supplier to troubleshoot and train in real time. Customer personnel using VERNON Tool cutting machines in the field will have access to a secure broadband connection with the ability to work one-on-one with the VERNON Tool team.

A virtual service technician is side-by-side with the machine operator to maximize machine productivity and operator efficiency. Post-warranty contracts also include this innovative service to ensure customers’ long term ongoing satisfaction and success.

With nearly 1,000 installations worldwide, VERNON Tool Company is the industry’s preferred source and global supplier of 3D profiling, customized pipe cutting and metal fabrication machinery. The company’s products are used in the process piping, offshore, structural, pressure vessel and shipbuilding industries.

The Lincoln Electric Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, fume control systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment and has a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market.
