Stäubli debuts the new Ultra-Fast TS40 SCARA
Stäubli Robotics Posted 05/27/2010
Stäubli has long been the choice for robots with the highest performance and shortest cycle times by end-users and integrators. Stäubli now introduces the TS40 SCARA robot. This ultra-fast and precise 4-axis robot has speeds ranging up to 100 picks per minute. It features an extremely rigid, yet slim design. The TS40 comes after the introduction of the TS60, and TS80 completing this new SCARA generation. With reach ranging from 400mm, 600mm, to 800mm, and speed ranging up to 100 picks per minute, the TS series is ideally suited for applications featuring precision, payload and speed.
The TS40 has a repeatability of +/- 0.01mm with a nominal payload of 2kg, and a maximum payload of 8kg. The two versions available depending on the required application are 200 or 400 mm stoke. This new TS40 SCARA has an IP54 protection class and is available in a floor or wall mount.. The TS40 SCARA robot utilizes the well-known PC based control platform which is commonly used on all Stäubli robots in recent years. The CS8C platform employs Staubli’s own VAL 3 Language for easy programming featuring an openness to provide the user with endless possibilities. Vision systems with serial or Ethernet interface to the controller may be connected as well.
Staubli will debut the new TS40 SCARA at the biennial AUTOMATICA 2010 show in Munich. This international fair showcases innovative and integrated solutions for every technical manufacturing challenge as well as the largest robotic range in the world. Come visit Staubli June 8-10 at the AUTOMATICA 2010 show located at New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Munich, Hall B2 Booth 319.
