Biography for Pat Davison, RIA
Pat Davison is the Director of Standards Development for the Robotic Industries Association. He leads RIA’s standards development activities in the developing the ANSI and ISO Robot Safety Standards. Before joining RIA, Pat spent over eleven years with NSF International, where he led projects to create testing and evaluative methodologies required to certify products with unique or innovative performance or safety claims.
Prior to NSF, Pat worked for FANUC Robotics North America, where he was a project manager in their Automation Systems Group. He also spent over eight years in environmental consulting, where he worked on occupational safety, environmental protection and regulatory compliance initiatives.
In his spare time, Pat volunteers as an awards judge at FIRST Robotics Competitions. Davison holds BS and MBA degrees from Michigan State University.
