ATI Industrial Automation

ATI Industrial Automation's patented Robotic Collision Sensors are designed to prevent costly damage to robotic end-effectors resulting from robot crashes. ATI's design includes an automatic reset feature that benefits workplace safety. After the robot crashes, the Collision Sensor will automatically reset when the robot removes the tooling from the crash-causing object. Compliant in the X, Y and Z axes, this capability provides a safer method for resetting by making it unnecessary for personnel to enter the robotic work cell and manually reset the Collision Sensor.

Molex Incorporated

Molex’s family of Brad® automation infrastructure products are designed for harsh environments. BradCommunications™ SST™ interfaces provide the communications link between the robot controller and the robot using an industrial network (DeviceNet, Ethernet, PROFIBUS, Intelligent Safety Network). BradConnectivity™ cordsets connect devices found in sensor, actuator and network applications and include quick-connect, Teflon coating on coupling nuts, weld-splatter resistant molding material, oil-resistant cable and a high-flex offering for end-of-arm applications. BradControl™ I/O modules connect sensors located on the robotic arm to industrial networks. BradPower™ heavy duty rectangular connectors help to deliver high voltage power from the controller to the robot.

Motoman Inc.

Motoman's ArcWorld® C-500 features a reduced footprint due to a unique robot safety enclosure. The enclosure wraps around the rear of the robot and pivots with the base axis. Operators can safely load a workstation opposite of the robot's operating envelope because motion is limited by the enclosure. The enclosure also prevents personnel from accessing potential pinch-points at the rear of the robot. Switches are integrated with the enclosure to mute safeguards as the robot pivots between the two opposing workstations.

SICK

The new C4000 Select Safety Light Curtain from SICK offers point-of-operation safeguarding...all at the speed of light. Ideal for use in numerous robotics applications, the C4000 Select is configured via DIP switch-rather than a PC, saving time and money. Its ability to be cascaded with a SICK S300 or S3000 Safety Laser Scanner or with other C4000 Select Light Curtains ensures complete safeguarding of a robotic work cell with a single safety output signal. Plus, the C4000 Select features intuitive diagnostics and an integrated laser and bar graph display that reduce downtime and increase machine availability.
