Description

Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) is growing our Simulation Group to meet the needs of our expanding customer base. This role requires the use of digital manufacturing/simulation tools, CAD/Design tools and the ability to develop automation concepts for manufacturing systems.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop process & layout concepts
  • Select equipment (robots, conveyors, etc.)
  • Estimate cycle time
  • Conduct throughput analysis
  • Create well-written, concise technical reports presenting project results
  • Create professional videos from simulations to illustrate concepts
  • Retrieve backups from production robots and extract relevant information
  • Upload robot programs to simulation tools
  • Develop OLP programs from simulations and validate on target robots

Minimum Skills & Abilities

Core Requirements

Minimum of three years’ experience in at least one of the following (and the ability desire to quickly self-learn any of the remaining):

  • Delmia D5
  • Robcad
  • Process Simulate

Minimum of one year experience and proficient in at least one of the following:

  • Fanuc Roboguide
  • ABB Robot Studio
  • Motoman Motosim

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Paint
  • Spot Welding
  • Mig Welding
  • Sealer/Dispense
  • Palletization
  • Robotic Material Handling
  • Industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kuka, etc.)

Educational requirements

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
