SAS Automation Introduces EOAT for Engine Block Handling
SAS Automation, LLC Posted 07/31/2013
SAS Automation, a leader in the design and manufacturer of Robotic End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), recently introduced tools to handle various types and sizes of engine blocks, in moist environments.
The SAS Engine Block tools uniquely allows gripping three different engines without any tooling changes. The tooling allows for easy tilting of the block; allowing the fluid to easily exit the block. This tool is made of heavy-duty stainless steel and aluminum to withstand moist environments without rusting.

Handles weights: up to 200Kg.
Engine blocks come in a wide variety of weights and features.
The engine blocks for the >SAS< tool ranged in size from four to six cylinders.
“Engine Block handling is difficult due to the complex nature of each block. Providing an EOAT that can easily handle different sizes is a true automation innovation for this industry," said Rob Dalton, General Manager for SAS Automation.
