MotoRail 7

Yaskawa Motoman

Motoman’s pre-engineered MotoRail™ 7 solutions use a six-axis robot invert-mounted from a servo-controlled overhead rail (available in lengths from 4-32 m). This seven-axis design reduces floorspace requirements while also providing extended reach and improved access to multiple stations. It can reduce cycle times by 20 percent compared to six-axis solutions. MotoRail 7 is ideal for a variety of applications, including machine loading, material handling, welding, deburring, trimming, deflashing, load/unload of injection mold machines and dispensing. It can be used for identical or progressive operations at multiple cells. Independent or truly coordinated operation is possible. MotoRail uses Motoman’s next-generation DX100 controller and is available with a variety of robot models, with payloads from 6-200 kg. (13.2-440.9 lbs). Linear traverse speed is 2.5 m (8.2’) per second, with ±0.1 mm (±0.004”) total repeatability for both the robot and the rail. MotoRail 7 solutions are easily deployed, and can often use existing machine layouts. Multiple-robot configurations are available.
