FIPA Expansion Grippers

FIPA's Expansion Grippers, othewise knows as ID Grippers, can be used to grip parts with an inside diameter ranging from 4.5mm up to 85mm. They use compressed air to expand a rubber bladder made of either Silicone, EPDM or NBR. A centering cone can be added to the larger models for precise postitioning of the gripper. The Gripper is inserted into the ID of the part, compressed air is turned on and the part is securely gripped. A combination of several grippers can also be positioned around the outside of a product so that when the bladders are expanded they squeeze the part.
