Automatic inline inspection or measuring composite, runout, nicks, size, tooth action, lead, taper. Use for pinions and sun gears when high speed and both CD and Lead & Taper measurements are necessary.
Function
Measures part by automatically loading the part on work holding and automatically meshing the rolling master gear with the piece part. Parts are moved into the machine and out of the machine by means of a 6 axis robot. Gear acquisition data is automatically analyzed. Computerized results are displayed on monitor. Parts can be sorted by size categories, good, reject, and repair. Parts must be clean of oil and dirt upon entering machine. Cycle times range from 450-600 parts per hour, depending on style of gear.
