Kawasaki FS03N Compact 6-Axis Robot with D77 Controller

Kawasaki Robotics (USA), Inc.

The Kawasaki FS03N Robot is the smallest of the F-Series Robots. This robot features a highly flexible 6-axes arm boasting the highest speeds in its class. The light-weight arm construction, weighing a mere 20 Kg, allows for easy handling and mounting in a variety of configurations including; inverted, wall, table top, and even directly to some machines. The sealed arm construction allows for continuous operation in harsh or undesirable conditions. All wiring and piping for motors, encoders, and end-of-arm tooling is built in to the arm to eliminate potential application interference.

The FS03N is ideal for use in a variety of demanding applications including: assembly, material handling, inspection, machine tending, lab automation, as well as research and educational projects.

The compact D76 Controller is just as powerful as its full size counterpart, yet weighs only 30 kg. With the optional 110 Volt on board transformer, the controller can be installed practically anywhere.

Key Features

Compact design with a large working envelope The FS03N Robots are the smallest and lightest robots in their class. The space saving design has a small 17x21.5cm footprint, while offering a wide operating range. This fully articulating arm weighs a mere 20 kg which allows for easy portability and a variety of installation configurations including table top mounting. Fast, Accurate and Robust This 6-Axis Robot, with speeds up to 6.0 meters per second, boasts some of the highest speeds in its class. Production cycle times as low as 0.4 -0.5 seconds can be achieved.* The FS03N, as well as all the F-Series robots, have the ability to flip over backwards which can contribute to reduced cycle times be limiting Joint one motion. Reliability and accuracy have been optimized through the use of precision absolute encoders coupled with a robust arm construction, ensuring years of low maintenance operation. Brakes on all six axes ensure position repeatability even when powered off. * based on a 1 kg load moving up/down vertically 25mm and horizontally 300mm (see diagram)

Production Advantages: High-speed capabilities Rapid acceleration and deceleration rates High-speed servo loop and all digital servo control Maintains position when powered off

Proven Reliability Over 40 years of experience
