We are a university with a department of Technological Studies. We focus on education but also complete R&D through our "Robotics Center of Excellence." Companies typically approach us when others say it's impossible to do or not worth the money. While our main focus has been on non-standard applications of industrial robots we also entertain possibilities in other areas of robotics including mobile systems and non-robotic control systems. Past applications have included assembly of very small and complicated parts and 3D vision guidance of industrial robots for use with uncooperative and non-standard payloads such as animal skin processing.
