SICK's M4000 Multibeam Safety Light Barrier, consisting of a sender and receiver unit, safeguards access to a hazardous area. Sturdy deflecting mirrors are used to safeguard up to four sides of a hazardous area. The interruption of one beam or several beams stops the hazardous movement. A restart button positioned outside the hazardous area resets the protection field, thus enabling the restart of the robot.
