Schmalz' new magnetic grippers were developed especially for handling of perforated plates and complex, laser-cut parts The heart of the magnetic gripper is an aluminium housing containing a magnet controlled by compressed air or a vacuum. The gripping function is bistable, which means that the current state "hold" or "release" is retained even in the case of a power failure.
