The delta-style, low profile Motoman® MPP3S “short” robot provides superior performance for high-speed assembly, picking, packing, cartoning and kitting applications. It can perform up to 185 cycles per minute (CPM) with a 1 kg payload capacity, and up to 150 cycles with a 3 kg payload capacity. CPM rate includes 0.04 second per cycle for part acquisition and release. This model complements the MPP3, our larger delta-style robot, by offering the same high application performance and payload in about 20% less installation space. The MPP3S robot features a three-arm, 4-axis configuration with a direct-driven rotary axis to simplify its design and increase reliability. Its long arms with shorter-arm radii provide a compact footprint and a deeper reach, while providing a large working envelope. With its small 684 mm diameter installation area, it is ideal for high-density layouts. The MPP3S features a 3 kg payload and an 800 mm diameter horizontal reach with a z-stroke of up to 300 mm. The ISO cleanliness class 5 design, IP67 protection rating, anti-corrosive paint and NSF-H1 certified food-grade lubricant are standard with the MPP3S, allowing it to be used many industries including food and beverage, consumer package goods, pharmaceutical, life sciences and automotive. It is available with advanced technologies such as MotoSight™, MotoPick™ and conveyor tracking. The MPP3S robot is powered by Yaskawa Motoman’s FS100 controller featuring a compact footprint and open software architecture for a wide variety of applications.
