Hello! I need an expert advice. Is there a software for 3D modeling humanoid robots or exoskeletons? It's interesting for me, how professional engineers create something so detailed. I'm searching for a some software like Lego design, but for more professional tasks.

I am looking at setting up a University Level course in Robotics and applications for ME/EE and special bridge programs for Mechatronics. I know there are many Colleges that have these programs already but we will offer our own for a number of reasons. Much of the Robotics equipment I see is geared towards K-12 or is large Industrial gear. What equipment is available for the middle level? Can anyone recommend companies that focus on University level systems. I am looking to quote out some lab systems. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I made an autonomous ping pong drone player prototype during my master research . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7d_N0LZcuzk Now it is able to return some balls thrown at it 40% of the time, in simulation it achieves 80%. Do you think some people will be interested in that kind of product to buy to play ping pong against? Also, what kind of team it will take to develop it from a prototype into a product and how much time? Thanks for the feedback ! :)

I am interested in a robot to make little rolls of solid foods (I can not give to much details), It should be with an arm that support a weight of 9 pounds and be pace fast. The cost of the robot should be the cheapest possible (< $1500). The robot should permit me to learn while I integrate it in my project for a company I'm starting. I'm software engineer who is starting in the robotics world. Thanks & Regards Jose Rodriguez jrm4939@gmail.com

I am a student at UMKC working on a self-driving robot car for my senior design. One of the requirements for my project is to fabricate or modify a design of an electronic component made up of active and passive elements. Originally I planned to create a pcb circuit that would regulate voltage. The problem is that the battery that is connected to my raspberry pi only supplies 5V and the battery from from the chassis does not need to be regulated either. I was wondering if there was another custom made electronic component I could add to serve a significant function to my car. Does anyone have any good ideas?

I'm the lead CNC programmer in a relatively high-mix low-to-med-volume (20-1000pc) shop and I've been talking with the CEO of the shop about adding a machine tending robot by the end of 2019. I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible so that I can easily adapt the robot to different machine tending applications and teach the rest of my programming team to do the same. I've visited a local makerspace to start learning on the lowest possible level with some arduino and raspberry pi projects. Where else can I find educational resources to learn how to self-integrate and get familiar with robots to make our endeavor successful?

I am a student with Missouri State University working in a project group concerning the market analysis, design, and manufacture of robotic quick-change adapters and end-effectors. My question is simple in that if someone could a brief explanation/description as to the typical design elements (i.e. pneumatic, magnetic, electrical, locking, etc.) typically seen in market for quick-change adapters, what would it be?

I am currently a senior at Georgia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering. I will be pursuing a career in robotics (primarily in industrial robotics) upon graduation (currently planned on 2018). I have worked at KUKA Robotics at both Mercedes and Tesla over the summer (internship). My current degree program has NOTHING to do with robotics WHATSOEVER. I have received 5+ job offers from several companies with yearly pay ranging from $70,000-$100,000, and I have had to turn them all down because I am in school. Do you think it is worth continuing with this degree program or pursuing specialized trainings in industrial robotics like FANUC, KUKA, Siemens PLCs, etc. and taking one of these jobs? Would not having a degree keep you from rising into management?
