20th Robotics Industry Forum Set for February 20-22, 2013
Robotic Industries Association Posted 04/27/2012Ann Arbor, MI – The 20th Annual Robotics Industry Forum will take place February 20-22, 2013 at the Orlando World Marriott Center in Orlando, Florida. Some 350 global automation leaders are expected to attend; the event is collocated with the AIA Business Conference and the Motion Control Association (MCA) Business Conference.
“We’re looking forward to having our biggest and best event ever as we celebrate this landmark twentieth anniversary of what has become the robotics industry’s most important networking event,” said Jeff Burnstein, President of Robotic Industries Association (RIA), the industry’s trade group.
Event highlights will include keynote presentations on issues such as where the global economy is headed and future trends that impact automation companies; breakout sessions on topics such as robot safety, emerging technology trends, and systems integration issues; and networking parties designed to help attendees make new business contacts in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
“The Forum is always our most highly-rated annual event because the attendees learn so much, meet so many new people, and have so much fun in just a day and half that they consider it a ‘must-attend’ to jump-start their year,” Burnstein said.
“Collocating the Forum with the AIA and MCA events means that the robotics industry executives can network with their peers on the vision and motion industries. Since these technologies work so closely together, having the events together opens up an enormous range of networking options for everyone in attendance,” he added.
Despite the fact February is prime-time in Orlando, RIA has negotiated extremely good rates for meeting attendees, which can be extended before and after the meeting.
“The Orlando World Marriott Center is a fantastic property and fits our meeting very well, so I think many of our attendees will bring their families along in 2013 to take advantage of the great $185 per night room rate,” Burnstein said.
