AMT CEO Set to Present Engelberger Award at AUTOMATICA

Messe München, Germany— Applied Manufacturing Technologies ‘s CEO and Chair of the Robotics Industries Association (RIA) , Mike Jacobs, will present the prestigious Engelberger Robotics Award to Dean Elkins and Dr. Chia Day at AUTOMATICA.
”Dr. Chia Day’s robotic accomplishments at Foxconn are staggering and well-deserving of this award. I had the privilege to work with Dr. Day at GM Fanuc Robotics in the 1980’s and his insight into robotic applications guides me to this day,” said Mike Jacobs. “Dean Elkins of Motoman Yaskawa Electric is truly a captain of the robotics industry. I’ve worked with Mr. Elkins for over 25 years, and his leadership at the RIA and A3 is inspiriting,” said Jacobs.
The Engleberger award is presented annually to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the robotics industry. AUTOMATICA is one of the world’s largest manufacturing automation shows.
“It’s an honor to present this award to these gentlemen on this international stage,” said Jacobs.
