Genesis Systems Group Distribution and Sales Representation Agreement
Genesis Systems, IPG Photonics Company Posted 08/01/2013Davenport, Iowa – Genesis Systems Group, the largest independent robotic workcells integrator in North America, is pleased to announce Distribution and Sales Representation agreements with Shanghai Medar Welding Equipment Co., Ltd. On June 18, 2013 at the Essen Beijing Welding and Cutting Fair in Shanghai, China, Chuck Keibler, Executive Vice President for Genesis Systems Group and Chen Jianping, General Manager of Shanghai Medar signed two agreements;
• Distribution agreement for sales of Genesis Systems Group Robotic Welding products
• Sales agreement to represent Genesis Systems Group products
Through 2015, Shanghai Medar will have an exclusive territory in People’s Republic of China (PRC) providences of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Sichuan and preferred Non-Exclusive territory for the remainder of PRC to represent Genesis Systems Group. Partnering with Shanghai Medar strengthens Genesis’ presence in China for sales, manufacture and staging of robotic welding products and solutions.
Shanghai Medar Welding Equipment Co., Ltd was formed as a Joint Venture with US partners RoMan Manufacturing, Livonia, MI and WTC, Farmington Hills, MI (jointly, Global Welding Solutions, LLC) and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd Shanghai, China. Currently, Shanghai Medar is a manufacturer of RoMan resistance welding transformers and WTC resistance welding controllers for the China market.
