New SAS Automation Program Gives Customers Gift of Time
Piab, Robotic Gripping Posted 09/12/2014
SAS Automation, the leader in superior robotic End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and automation technology, announces the Quick Tool Program to answer the call from customers around the country. SAS’ customers can expect to gets weeks of production time back with the new program, cutting in half the estimated delivery lead time needed.
“Our customers run on tight timelines, with intense demands coming from all directions,” said SAS Automation President Trent Fisher. “We know that the robotic tool isn’t always top-of-mind at the beginning of project planning. The Quick Tool Program gives our customers additional time and flexibility to meet their production deadlines by cutting EOAT delivery time in half.”
For SAS Automation customers, waiting for key components, like robotic tooling, to begin production can mean missing delivery dates, inability to make on-time shipments, lost revenue or even losing a customer. This is why SAS invested in the Quick Tool Program.
During the past year, SAS Automation has been ramping up operations to meet increased demands, and to decrease delivery times by adding additional employees and developing and implementing extensive process improvements.
“Our sales and customer service teams have ongoing dialogue with customers to continue exceeding expectations and delivering what keeps their business running,” said Fisher. “The consistent message that a reduction in lead time for EOAT pieces could help our customers meet their production schedules was something we took seriously. We are thrilled to be able to offer our existing and future customers the Quick Tool Program.”
Lead time for simple tools made from standard stock SAS components is only one to two weeks. Quoted EOAT will take between two and three weeks, and designed EOAT pieces, like die locked parts requiring complex design, will be delivered in three to four weeks. SAS Automation stocks more than 1,500 standard components available for same day delivery.
