This video demonstrates the pre-grasp postures, of the patented QMI Robotics Gripper, that can be used to approach and grasp an object. Often, the area of manipulation is confined and the envelop of approach is restricted. These pre-grasp postures are pre-programmed for ease of use. However, the hand can be manually positioned and the hand posture for object approach and grasping locations on the object can be easily stored for playback.
