Position Summary

The Robotics Advisor is a field sales role that grows and manages existing customers of Sure Controls and develops a new customer base through our Sure Motion Product Portfolio. The role is both Sure Controls ambassador to our customers and voice of our customers with our associates. The candidate will foster an atmosphere of teamwork, trust, accountability, and commitment among customers and associates.

You should find robots and automation to be cool and interesting. You should believe in having great quality of life, enjoying who you work with, and feeling like your voice is being heard. You’ll be able to have a nice home, in a nice safe area, with great schools, great outdoor activities, and access to multiple big cities within a short drive. Ideally you shouldn’t be big on job titles, at Sure Controls – we are part of the team and everyone is an important player on that team.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Model desired behaviors for culture and values of Sure Controls
  • Acquire, grow and maintain customer (account and contact) relationships
  • Promptly respond to customer needs with value-added solutions that enable customer success
  • Provide leadership for Sure Motion company initiatives, new markets, and products
  •  Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills & Abilities

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales
  • A background/understanding in robotics and their place in automation
  • A friendly and positive attitude
  • Self-motivation/drive
  • Presentation skills
  • Farmer and Hunter Approach
  • Ability to deliver results on a timely and consistent basis
  • Proven track record of success
  • Ability to identify customer pain points (issues) and match them to a service (solution).

Minimum Education & Experience

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of discounts, markups, margin
  • Financial knowledge (P/L, ROI, Payback)
  • Excellent writing skills (service reports, e-mails)
  • Ability to analyze competition/market and use that information to differentiate Sure Controls
  • Have great cognitive skills- memory, reasoning, problem solving, and decision making
  • A background working at another value-added distributor or manufacturer
  •  Associates Degree or above in Engineering or a technical discipline.
  • Open communication and collaboration skills
  • Have great time management skills

Other Requirements

  • This position does require you to travel (hence the car allowance)
  • Sometimes the customer sites can be loud
  • We close at 2pm on Friday to enjoy time with friends and family on the weekend
  • This position reports directly to the CEO
