EWR Shielding Gas Regulator
ABICOR BinzelUpdated 02/27/2017
For a fully optimized welding process, use of your shielding gas is one of the most important and often overlooked factors in the automated process. EWR, short for Electronic Welding Regulator, offers a far more economical use of shielding gas with improved gas coverage.
Gas savings with EWR is exceptional - up to 60% in some cases. Installation is done within minutes between the gas supply and the power source.
EWR is based on four major principles for it to save you gas - Avoiding demand peaks on the start-up; adjusting the shielding gas quantity to the power consumption; using quick-action frequency valves to ensure no gas loss between individual starts; and pulsing the shielding gas at 60 Hz to achieve optimal gas coverage and a more stable arc.
