VP Business Development
Dave Ross joined Brain Corp in January 2019 to lead the company’s business development efforts with partners for data processing, AI, applications, connectivity, cloud, and robotics platforms. Prior to joining Brain Corporation, Dave co-founded and lead system development/design as the CTO of TsunamiXR, a SAS based, 3D telepresence company based in San Diego, California. TsunamiXR delivers turnkey, immersive 3D, enterprise solutions solving critical business issues. Prior to starting TsunamiXR, Dave had a twenty-year tenure with Qualcomm Corporation as a Senior Director of Business Development of Snaptracs, QChat, BREW, and other various products. Dave is a business leader with a history of innovation in the wireless, software, and computing industries. He has been awarded 37 patents, with over 50 patents pending covering modems, computer hardware, and software systems being used in billions of devices worldwide. Mr. Ross worked on the first mobile satellite system licensed in the United States. He was also the product manager of the first, US launched, CDMA phone, first commercial phone with a web browser, first commercial phone with an App Store, and founding team member of the first phone App Store, BREW. He led global business development for QChat, the leading wireless push-to-talk solution deployed worldwide, co-invented and worked with Timex in developing the first 3G connected running watch, the Ironman One GPS+. Dave also executed technology license contracts driving over $500M in direct revenue to his parent companies. Mr. Ross graduated with a Cum Laude with a BS in Industrial Design from Georgia Institute of Technology, and served in the USMC.
