Robot Safety and Risk Assessment Training Syllabus




Course Objective:
Students will be able to:

  • Understand basic safety guidelines for robotic applications
  • Identify key elements of the robot safety standard
  • Apply provisions of the standard in daily operations

Using lecture aided by visual presentations, inform the students of the essential information contained in the newly revised ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012 Robot Safety Standard, which includes the ISO standard.

  • Document the risk assessment

Using group participation, guide students through each stage of a risk assessment that satisfies the requirements in the ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012 Robot Safety Standard, and called out in the RIA TR R15.306-2016.
