Virtual (Live) Robot Safety and Risk Assessment Training
The benefits of Robot Safety Training are numerous, helping the employer and most especially the employee - the person most at risk. Regardless of the size of your business, making sure that you and all your technicians are safety-trained is necessary.
Join RIA's Robot Safety and Risk Assessment Virtual Training with a live instructor. You will learn key information directly from our industry expert to help you keep your team safe. The live format allows you to ask questions and interact with the instructor to better address your needs. In just two half-day sessions, you will receive safety guidelines for robotic applications and learn how to apply the standard in your own daily operations.
You’ll come away understanding how to:
- Identify hazards and safety tasks needed
- Determine risk reduction requirements
- Develop solutions to reduce risk
- Validate the solutions
- Document the risk assessment
As a participant, you’ll receive a PDF version of the RIA TR R15.306-2016 Task-based Risk Assessment Methodology technical report (a $45 value).

Robot Safety Standard (R15.06-2012)
Training begins with reviewing the requirements in the ANSI/R15.06-2012 Robot Safety Standard document as contained in the new ISO 10218 Standards. Participants learn the basic safety guidelines for robotic applications and to identify key elements of the robot safety standard. They’ll gain the knowledge to apply provisions of the standard in daily operations in this very thorough introduction.
Robot Risk Assessment
Day two introduces robot safety guidelines for collaborative robot systems. It then dives more deeply into guiding participants through each stage of a risk assessment as called out in the ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012 Robot Safety Standard. They’ll learn to identify necessary tasks, identify possible hazards, determine risk reduction requirements, reason possible solutions to reduce risk, validate proposed solutions and document the risk assessment.
